[Books] On (technical/scientific) writing

To my taste, these two books are excellent guides on writing:

• Umberto Eco -- How to Write a Thesis. A bit dated, someone says it's obsolete, but still, very good, I would recommend it. 1, 2. It's also been translated and published in Russian. A bonus: Umberto Eco's home library.
• Donald E. Knuth -- Mathematical Writing. Here is it. (It's freely available at his website in TeX form, I've just compiled it.) See also.
